Lars in the sunshine. The Creator of Larsventures

Lars’ Story of Self-Discovery: From a Small Village to Amsterdam and Beyond

I grew up in a small village in Germany with an English mother and a German father. Looking back, those early years were the quiet beginning of my story of self-discovery. That mix of cultures gave me a sense that the world was bigger than what I saw around me. Even as a teenager, I was drawn to bringing people together. What started as small birthday gatherings soon became club nights where thousands of people came to dance, connect and celebrate. Seeing those moments come alive gave me a feeling of purpose that has never left.

For a while, I followed what felt like the safe path. I studied and worked in mechanical engineering, but deep down I knew it was not who I was meant to be. On paper everything looked right, yet I felt trapped. By my mid-twenties I could no longer ignore that voice inside me. I wanted to create, to tell stories, to build spaces where people could feel alive. So I let go of certainty and stepped into the unknown.

The Leap

In December 2017 I arrived in Amsterdam with two suitcases, no clear plan and a lot of faith. Moving to another country without knowing what would happen next was frightening, but I had learned to trust that life rewards those who move with intention.

Amsterdam quickly became home. Not long after arriving I found my way to Pride Amsterdam. I began as a volunteer, wanting only to be part of something bigger than myself. Step by step I became part of the team behind one of the world’s most iconic celebrations of freedom and self-expression. Working on Pride changed me. It showed me how community, creativity and courage can bring people together in a way that feels timeless.

Creating and Building

Through all of this, one truth has stayed constant. I have always been a creator. Whether as a football coach in my early years, an event organiser in my twenties, or now through content and digital storytelling, I thrive on turning ideas into something real.

I believe we all shape our own reality. When I moved countries with nothing but a vision, when I built nights that brought thousands together, or now as I create guides and stories that inspire others, it all comes from the same place, a belief that if you show up with purpose, doors open.

A big part of my journey has been learning to slow down. The quiet mornings of journaling, the still moments on the boat, the trust that thoughts and words can shape the path ahead. These rituals keep me grounded when everything else feels uncertain.

Life with Sebas

Meeting Sebas gave my journey a new heartbeat. Together we are building a life rooted in creativity, courage and growth. He keeps me present in the moment, and I remind him to keep dreaming.

Sebas is now pursuing his modelling career while exploring his love for fashion and makeup artistry. I continue to expand LarsVentures into a creative platform for real stories, freedom and emotional growth.

Together we share the same vision: to inspire people to live authentically, create with purpose and believe that every chapter can be a new beginning.

Looking Ahead

This story is still unfolding. We keep growing, creating and learning together while shaping a life that feels meaningful, loving and free.

Through LarsVentures, I want to share stories that feel real, reflections that inspire action and creative work that reminds people that change is always possible.

If there is one thing life keeps teaching me, it is that when we stop making excuses and finally do what we love, life becomes light again.
